The Harvard Business Review found that 90 percent of Americans don't like to cook and it's costing us by eating out all the time. What’s the solution? Meal delivery! Jared Cotter met up with 319 Hidden Kitchen’s Ivan Jacobo to get three benefits of getting your homemade meal delivered.
1. Saving Time
Instead of buying ingredients, cooking for about an hour or soe, one of these meals will heat up in the microwave for three minutes. That's a lot of extra time you'll get back each day.
2. Saving Money
You can get a meal of steak and broccoli for around $9 and have it delivered to you. The other option is you can go out to a restaurant where you'll spend around $15 for that same meal and that's not even including a beer, or a glass of wine, or a tip.
3. Avoiding Food Waste
Meal delivery doesn't have to be plain and boring. You can enjoy a variety of meals and take advantage of our last benefit and that's avoiding food waste because it's all portioned for you. Most people buy a hug bag of spinach, but realistically they're only going to use it for a salad. Now the week goes on and now you have some spinach that's gone bad. That won’t happen with a meal delivery service.
