Most people know "Les Miserables" is a French musical made into a multiple-Oscar-nominated movie. Here's what you don't know about "Les Mis"  on By the Numbers.

-- Les Miserables is the first musical since Chicago, which came out 10 years ago, to receive a best picture Oscar Nomination.

-- Worldwide the movie has made $380 million with a budget of only $61 million

-- 25 years ago the Broadway production of "Les Miserables" opened. It won eight Tony Awards.

-- You've seen the play and the movie. Are you ready for the novel?  The unabridged paperback edition of Victor Hugo's book is 1,463 pages.

-- 24601 is the convict number of prisoner Jean Val Jean, portrayed by Hugh Jackman.

-- Jackman has been married for 17 years to actress Deborra-Lee Furness. That's pretty impressive for a showbiz marriage.

-- 41 is the amount of feature films Hugh's appeared in, but this is his first Oscar nomination.
