2/22/13 - Every cloud has a silver lining, and this year's Oscars has a Silver Linings Playbook. Here's a look at the dark comedy - nominated for eight Oscars - by the numbers.
Four is the number of the movie's actors that are nominated: Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert DeNiro, and Jacki Weaver.
31 is the number of years since a film had actors nominated in all four categories -- last time was "Reds" in 1982.
32 is the number of years since Robert DeNiro won his last Oscar, for "Raging Bull" - a role for which he gained 60 pounds! DeNiro has won a total of two Oscars - the other for "The Godfather Part 2."
68 is the number of movies DeNiro has starred in that have brought in a total of $2.7 billion (forget DeNiro, let's talk dinero!) That may be impressive, but he's 69 years old. Jennifer Lawrence is just 22 and her movies, including "The Hunger Games," have already racked up almost $700 million!
20 is how many times David O. Russell re-wrote the script. Whatever he did, it must have worked, because it's nominated for best adapted screenplay.
Eight is how many months Bradley Cooper's character spent in a psychiatric institution. With 16 movies under his belt, 2011's "sexiest man alive" has a lot to celebrate, though he may be best known for his role in "The Hangover."
That's "Silver Linings Playbook" by the numbers.
