BALTIMORE - The Downtown Partnership of Baltimore’s first ever Winter Wine Celebration is underway around Baltimore. It’s 10 days filled with countless wine and dinner parings from more than 20 restaurants around town.
“Baltimore has a wide range of taste, so we want to make sure we are crafting a cocktail program that’s suitable to everybody,” said Wit & Wisdom Tavern’s Justin Yu.
From Italian restaurants like Rocco’s Capriccio in Little Italy to the American tavern feel at Wit and Wisdom and everything in between the wine party is off and running.
“We provide excellent food with excellent wine to compliment your evening,” said Rocco's Capriccio’s Owner and Chef Rocco Gargano.
Along with the food and wine, the Winter Wine Celebration includes numerous cellar raids, classes, and happy hours.

“There’s a lot of good wines. There’s inexpensive and expensive wines,” Chef Rocco said.
“A good wine is up to the taste of the person,” added Chef Rocco.
The celebration is also a good chance to get to know the gourmet chefs around downtown.
“What you’re going to get at Rocco’s is food that’s prepared with a passion!” smiled Chef Rocco.
Wit and Wisdom pairs several potent potables with their meals layering flavors to ensure a distinct, high-quality taste experience.
“Our Sticky Wicket is one of our signatures. It’s a twist on old fashion. We house smoked some maple syrup and then we put Fernet Branca,” said Justin. “We have about 25 wines by the glass available. Red, white, sparkling and rosé. We have about 100 or so in our entire bottle program.”
Cheers to the Winter Wine Celebration and bon appetite to a good time.
“Relax with friends, get comfortable, enjoy good food and good drinks and that’s really what we focus on,” added Justin.
