Team USA's Carrie Lingo offers Field Hockey tips

1.THE ICONIC MARYLAND CRAB CAKE SANDWICH: Smithsonian Magazine recently listed Faidley’s crab cake sandwich among the "Top 20 Most Iconic Food Destinations in the Country." Being that the crab cake sandwich is one of Maryland’s state foods, it’s only fitting that it is a great stop for travelers around the US.

2. FIELD HOCKEY TRYOUT TIPS FROM TEAM USA: Field hockey tryouts are underway around the state.

"The biggest thing is to come in prepared. You need to train on every level,” said recently retired Team USA hockey player Carrie Lingo.

We hooked up with Baltimore’s STX and former Team USA midfielder Carrie Lingo for some tips to help you beat out the competition.

"One of the biggest things I’ve seen is they don’t move their hands down low enough. Doing this will really help with the basic skills," Carrie added.

3. ‘HAIRSPRAY’ TO REOPEN RENOVATED SENATOR THEATRE: After a nearly two-year renovation, the Senator Theatre is set for an encore on October 10th.

The featured film for the opening show will be John Waters classic flick “Hairspray”

The reopening will also commemorate the 25th anniversary of the “Hairspray” opening at the North Baltimore theatre.
