‘S.M.A.R.T.' New Year's resolution solutions

BALTIMORE - It’s the New Year, so now’s your chance to work off all those extra pounds you gained during the holidays. The Brick Bodies Fitness Services team experts have a very simple plan.

"You can't out exercise a bad diet," said Lynne Brick with Brick Bodies Fitness Services.

Before you hit the weights, Lynne advises you exercise a little mind over matter.

"Change the way you think. Instead of thinking I can't do this or I was never athletic. Or I was never coordinated. I could never keep up with all these people," Lynne said.

She advises people to set "S.M.A.R.T." goals.

  • Attainable
  • Realistic
  • Trackable

"Train your brain and focus on the things that you can do, not that you can't," Lynne added.

If you backslide on your resolution to get in shape, she says there’s always space to get back in step.

"You can get back on the horse and just continue from where you left off," said Lynne.
