CLEVELAND - A Pennsylvania couple is getting ready to celebrate their first New Year's Eve as husband and wife. But a lot of people are still talking about their August wedding.
The roar of the engine, the smell of burning rubber, and mud, mud, mud.
The sights and sounds from “Truck Night at Yankee Lake” in Brookfield, OH are sure to have your senses on overload.
“It’s really a unique experience,” said Anissa Mitchell.
But on this night the fans in the stands were in store for something extra special.
They say love is messy, and Anissa, along with her new husband Brodie, found that out at Yankee Lake Truck Night. They got married on a big party barge in the middle of all the mud.
“Something different, something fun, non-traditional,” said Mitchell.
Anissa wore a custom-made camo-gown. “There’s turkey feathers in my bouquet,” said Mitchell.
The groom, Brodie, was also in camo from head-to-toe. As for who he was wearing? WalMart.
Also on board was local ordained minister Danny Cesene, who has officiated hundreds of weddings.
“This one rates at almost at the top of my list – at least for craziness,” said Cesene.
After the "I Dos" and a first kiss, it was time to celebrate with a drink.
“The redneck beverage, beer," said Brodie Mitchell. " Screw the champagne.”
As for dealing with their first mess right out of the gate. “We’re already a mess, so it’s perfect,” said Mitchell.
So, it looks like this Redneck couple can take on anything life tries to throw at them.
