She was a mom with a dream and $500, now Kendra Scott Jewelry is quickly becoming a household name.
The new boutique in Scottsdale Quarter is a beautiful example of just how far this momprenuer has come.
"My husband was out of work and I had a new born baby. It was the absolute worst time to try and start a new business, but I always say those are when the most amazing things can happen," said Scott.
Kendra says her vision was of beautiful jewelry she could actually afford. It was a vision that now includes merchandise in thousands of stores all over the world and 6 retail stores, the newest one in Scottsdale, Arizona.
"I love the Scottsdale woman. As I have been here visiting I've looked at her and she is fashionable, she is put together, she fits our brand and I knew that this was where we needed to be," said Scott.
Next to the affordable prices, the color bar is one of the most unique aspects of the store.
"You can have fun dragging and dropping, its also available on our website. You create your own piece and our ladies are all trained here in the store to set. You can walk out within minutes with a custom piece of jewelry it is instant gratification," said Scott.
To other prospective momprenuers Kendra says you should surround yourself with people who believe in you and go for it.
