PHOENIX - The Kansas State Wildcats and the Oregon Ducks are facing off on the Glendale gridiron tonight. While the players fight for a bowl victory, fans battle to reign supreme.
Hundreds of Wildcats were hanging out at the Tilted Kilt in Phoenix including one fan with a t-shirt featuring a duck in the middle of crosshairs.
"It's duck season in Manhattan, Kansas right now!" he yelled.
Manhattan, west of Topeka and north of Wichita, is home to Kansas State University. Known for a strong defense, K-State will play Oregon, known for a quick defensive line.
At the Thirsty Lion in Tempe, Ducks fans were noticeably more quiet than Kansas Staters, but don't mistake that for a lack of confidence.
"All I can say is watch out for the yellow and green," said one Ducks fan. "The ducks will go ahead and show what they have. We'll see who comes out on the end."
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at University of Phoenix Stadium.
