Three Arizona restaurants named country's 'most romantic'

PHOENIX -  High atop a butte overlooking Phoenix, the staff at A Different Point of View are enjoying their new designation. The swanky dining room with a view has been named one of the most romantic restaurants in the country by Open Table.

"We love it," said Chef Anthony Demuro, who heads the popular roost at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort.

As they should. The restaurant, with its sweeping views, dim lights and contemporary sophistication is booked solid on Valentine's Day.

"A lot of couples avoid that day and instead dine out the following night or weekend," DeMuro said.

The proud chef gave us a look at the menu Thursday night.

"We're doing a beautiful lamb loin with a bleu cheese rosti potato, a Maine lobster dish with brandy and vanilla and we're doing a beautiful filet with smoked tomato," DeMuro said.

Apparently, as the reviewers at Open Table can attest, the experience inspires strong feelings.

"I can't count how many rings I've put in a little white dish with a beautiful rose," said DeMuro.

Two other Arizona hot spots have earned the "most romantic" title as well.

L'Auberge Restaurant on Oak Creek in Sedona and Kai-Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort made the cut as well.
