Acrobats use daring moves during Cirque in Tampa Bay

ST. PETESBURG, Fla - Cirque Du Soleil’s Kooza show is under the big top near Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.  The arts and acrobatic show features about fifty performers in colorful costumes.

Clowns and magicians entertain the crowd with humor and magic tricks. The acrobats flip, dance, and fly to music and lights.  It all comes together in a harmonious performance.

“Cirque Du Soleil has the best acts in the world,” said performer Angel Quiors.

Quiors performs alongside his brother.  The two perform on top of the high-wire.  They walk, run, dance, and even ride bicycles on a tiny wire.

“We want to do something different, more risqué better; when somebody wants to walk we want to run,” said Quiors.

Many of the performers have been practicing their skill since they were children.  The Kooza group travels all around the world stunning spectators.

“Before the act our mind is clear we concentrate on the act when we up there we forget everything because it’s risky,” said Quidors.

Kooza is performing under the big top until December 16th.  The venue only holds about 25-hundred people, so many of the seats feel like they are right on top of the performers.
