In Theaters: 'Zero Dark Thirty', 'Gangster Squad' and 'A Haunted House'

If you are putting together your weekend plans, you may want to take in a movie.  Here’s what is in theaters this weekend.

ZERO DARK THIRTY:  From the Oscar winning director of “The Hurt Locker,” it's another modern controversial war drama. “Zero Dark Thirty” stars Jessica Chastain and Kyle Chandler. It chronicles the greatest manhunt in history by Seal Team Six with the aide of CIA Operative, Maya.

The movie is up for 4 Golden Globes including Best Motion Picture.

GANGSTER SQUAD:  Based on a true story, this film is about a group of rogue cops who change things up when they go after the mafia off duty. It stars Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and Josh Brolin,

Here’s a fun fact: Brolin's character's lines were cut down to give him a quiet-yet-powerful demeanor.

A HAUNTED HOUSE:  Don't let the title mislead you. There are more giggles than goosebumps in “A Haunted House.”  The movie is a parody of “Paranormal Activity,” where a couple moves into a haunted house. It stars Marlon Wayans, Essence Atkins and Cedric the Entertainer.

Actually, this is the first film the Wayans brother has written, produced and starred without the help of his Hollywood siblings.
