Ahhhhh, the American diner... It's known for late night food, spinning bar stools and coffee that flows like water. Brian Corsetti found three family-owned diners that capture that spirit, while doling out mouth-watering burgers and pancakes at all hours.
1. Mickey's Diner in St. Paul, MN
This art deco train car has been serving up breakfast 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. It's been open for 77 years and is known for its hashbrowns and ice cream malts.
2. The Hermitage Café in Nashville TN
This family owned restaurant serves southern style food and is known for its odd hours of operation! They open at 10pm and then close the next day at 1:30. Last year, the legendary eatery fell on hard times and locals called in Food Network's "Diner Revival" for a rescue. Thank goodness it worked!
3. The Silver Skillet in Atlanta, GA
A grandmother's secret biscuit recipe is responsible for this diner making our list! The Georgia eatery has been open since 1956 and is also known for its skillet country ham and the lemon box pie, which was voted #1 of the best pies in the U.S.
