3 Bold Wedding Trends in 2018 to Make Every Bride BlushLifestyle The List
Save the date! Wedding season is near, and we’re falling in love with the latest trends in bridal fashion, décor and more. David Twigger, founder of Vermilion Events and Design Group, knows exactly what’s hot in tying the knot. Wether you’re planning a wedding or attending one, here are three nuptial fads making waves this year!
1. Textured Linens
In the past, we’ve seen your basic white linens on tables. But if you really want to step it up a notch, you can do a new texture. Southwick offers great options, including some with beautiful sequined embroidery with different textured lace on them. They even have some with velvet accents. David recommends using texture sparingly, rather than on every single table. It’ll give you the wow factor and it won’t blow your entire budget.
2. Marble and Tile Place Cards
These beautiful place cards give off the illusion of being super pricey, but that’s not the case. You can get a box of marble tiles from a home improvement store in tons of different colors and designs for super cheap. Then you can either hire someone to do your calligraphy, or you can write the names on yourself. It’s a huge way to make your place cards stand out at a fraction of the price. And they can even double as a gift for your guests!
3. Bold Colors are the New Black
For the most part, guys will always wear black and neutrals. But grooms can also pull off some fun ties with bright colors and patterns. It’s a total attention-grabber, and perfectly contrasts those neutral tuxedos. Bright colors aren’t just limited to clothing. Try bright colored tea lights or tapered candles. Purple and navy are super popular this year, and they’ll give you that pop of color you crave.
Wedding season is as close as a borrowed blue garter belt! Whether you’re splashing your bridal party with bold colors, or cloaking receptions tables in velvet linens – these wedding trends will help you turn heads on your big day.
