3 Fun New Ways to Get Fit for the New YearHealth The List
Fitness trends come and go, but the effective ones seem to stick around. Bradley Hasemeyer and Fitwall’s Colten Tyler found three new ones that are sure to stand the test of time and will have you looking your best come the New Year.
This is a 40 minute interval training session that utilizes walls as well as body weight. It looks like a metal bookshelf, but the racks actually act as handles and foot rests so you can frog on, walk up and bounce on. There are a variety of these exercises in timed sets and it’s even being called the new CrossFit.
2. Rowing Class
The rowing machine isn't a loner anymore. Now you can get your crew together for a row class. It’s considered low impact, but with high intensity intervals. Rowing class is being called the new spin class. Just like on the bike you are working your legs, core, and arms all from the comfort your seat.
3. Woom Yoga
While traditional yoga is really all about sense withdrawal, this yoga class is the opposite. As you do your poses, there are sounds, visuals and scents to enhance your experience.
