Americans spend more than $2 billion on Halloween candy each year, most of which ends up in your little goblin's trick or treat bag. That’s a lot of sugar! Bradley Hasemeyer and The Phoenician's chef Ashley Liane have three healthy treats that won't spook their appetite this Halloween.
These are hauntingly simple to make. Use plain yogurt and make a face with some chocolate chips. Now just pop in the freezer for 20 minutes and enjoy.
2. Spider Bites
This is another simple recipe. It's just chocolate with peanut butter and pretzels. Mix the chocolate and the peanut butter melt it down, add the pretzels and you’re done.
3. Cheese O’ Lanterns
These are cheesy and easy to make. Just grab some low-fat cheese, margarine or butter and some whole wheat buns. Cut out the eyes and mouth on the buns and grill up. SPOOKY GOOD!
