Beer Tech: 3 Awesome High-Tech Gadgets For Craft Beer LoversTechList The List
For many of us kicking back a cold one is an enjoyable way to relax. There are inventions making the experience better by making brews more accessible, taste better and are upping our bartending game. Jared Cotter has three high-tech gadgets that will take your craft beer to the next level.
1. Fizzics Waytap
This is a device that applies soundwaves to bottled or canned beer, hopefully boosting your brew into the same league as draft. You can load it with almost any sized open beer, slip in the tube and close it up. Just pull the handle forward to dispense cold beer and then backward to add their flavor enhanced head. Pick one up for around $130.
2. Growler Chill
This is a countertop tap with an ambitious goal — keeping three growlers cool and carbonated for three weeks. Much like a 2 liter bottle of coke, growlers lose their carbonation within hours after opening and then your beer is flat and nobody likes flat beer. Just place the dispensing cap onto a growler, purge the excess air in the neck through a device on the side and load it up. They should go on the market soon for around $350.
3. Bottoms Up Beer
This is a tap for beer kegs that literally aims to fill your beer from the bottom to the top. The automated pour is highly effective in reducing wasted beer by eliminating operator error and excessive foam and the specially designed cups are pushed down on the dispenser — allowing a fast and efficient fill without leaking out the bottom. Pick one up for around $990.
