As much as we like to think that we're cool on our own, science is actually what's helping us put our best feet forward. Between figuring out how to take the perfect Instagram pic, to getting rid of robocalls; even figuring out the opposite sex for you, science is always the real MVP. Kristina Guerrero is breaking down 3 ways science is always looking out for you, brah.

1. Science Gets You Likes

You know you're going to want to post a sweet pic of the upcoming eclipse on your Instagram page and to help you get the most appreciation for it, science figured out how you can get the best capture.

Put a darkening filter over your camera's lens and remember to point your phone's camera at the sun for as short a time as possible. Most popular posts list, here you come.

2. Science Finds You Cash

Science has also figured out how to get you moolah from robocalls! What a pal. If you received a robocall between July 2009 and March 2014 offering a free cruise, you can qualify for a class-action lawsuit – meaning free money!

Click here to see if your phone number is on the list of people who got the calls. Select the "I did not receive a notice…but would like to see if my number is a part of this settlement" option. Type in your phone number (it isn't saved), and it'll tell you if you're on the list. If you are, you might be thanking science for a night out on the town.

3. Science Helps Your Love Game

A recent study found that brand incompatibility can make a relationship end faster than having different hobbies or religious beliefs. Apparently, when your significant other keeps buying brands you don't like, it irritates you over and over, until you want to head for the hills.

So if you're looking to date, keep science on your side; and if you're already in a relationship – thank science for helping you keep the (soda) pop in your relationship. What would we do without it?
