3 Stylish Sneaker Trends Taking Over 2018Lifestyle The List
Love stylish kicks? Then you'll be thrilled to know there are some amazing sneaker trends coming your way in 2018. These days, there are dozens of brands trying to out-step each other in the footwear game, making your choices seem endless. So we kicked it with shoe guru Ryan Anderson to get the latest looks in sneaks without having to shell out the big bucks.
1. The "Dad" Shoe
You don't have to go out and spend $800 on the latest Balenciagas that look like something you can find at Kohl's — which is exactly where you can find our first hot trend. The "dad" shoe is also known as the comfort shoe, similar to the fitness-meets-fashion trend that has recently become popular.
This style is characterized by thick, chunky soles and lots of plastic. There are tons of companies selling the "dad" shoe right now, but currently the biggest retailers are New Balance and ASICS. These pairs start at around $60 and go up to nearly $200.
2. Pink is the New White
Pink is making its way back as a favorite color for men, even more than women. A good choice for this color is the Reebok Classic in a pastel for the guys, or the New Balance 696 sneakers for the ladies. Both go for under $80 online.
3. Skater Style
Skater style is all the rage right now! And while Vans are hotter than ever, other brands are also coming out with styles of their own. Nike has been doing skate shoes over the last few years, along with Adidas. Run-D.M.C. made this motif all the rage in the 80s, but sneaker-lovers are starting to wear them again in 2018.
You will even find them in any and every color you can imagine, making it a versatile everyday shoe. And for $80, you can't beat that!
From classic dad to old school rad, these 2018 sneaker trends are definitely ones you're going to want to jump in on.
