As time goes on, we outgrow a lot of things: clothes, friends, eating candy for breakfast…but even as we leave some of our old faves in the past, there are certain things we'll just never give up. From online shopping to your favorite throwback decade, some of the trending topics from the past 10 years are still big deals now; and Jared Cotter and Kristina Guerrero are telling you how big of a deal they still are.

1. The Power of the Amazon

Amazon first popped onto the scene in '94 as an online bookstore, slingin' books to compete with Barnes & Noble. Eventually they started selling toys, music, online books – everything. Now, Amazon accounts for more online sales growth than Ebay, Walmart, Best Buy and Staples combined – and they're only getting more popular.

In another 10 years, you'll be reading an article about how Amazon is selling cars, selling homes, has a new bank division and can offer you a credit card…oh, they already have credit cards? …It begins.

2. #Hashtag10

When Twitter first started its reign on social media, no one was quite sure what to do with the # sign. "What is that thing?" People would ask. "Why does Twitter want my phone number?" But 10 years and hundreds of millions of tweets later, the hashtag is celebrating its 10th anniversary this week.

Since its creation we've been able to vote for our favorite players or musicians at awards shows, raise money for worthy causes, even ask people to get us free chicken nuggets – all without moving from our computer chairs. Where would we be without the hashtag? Where would our world be without it? I don't even want to think about it. #ICantEven

3. Throwback Jams

Every time a decade makes a comeback in pop culture, eventually it peters back into "let's not talk about that ever again" territory. But the trends from the '90s that have made a resurgence a few years ago are still around, and the demand for more '90s stuff is influencing markets everywhere: even the housing market!

This house in Michigan is a '90s fan's dream. Painted in pink, purple, and turquoise, the mansion also features pink carpeting, zebra print decorations and a lot of loud accents…and it's incredible. Plus, it's not too terribly priced – does anyone have around $800,000 to lend me for it? I'll let you come over…bring your Zubaz.
