Kristina Guerrero and Lynda Hammond, author of The Garage Sale Gal's Guide to Making Money, have got 3 savvy tips to get you money by cleaning out your clutter and getting your sale on.
1. Don't Price Anything
When you don't put prices on your items, you leave room for the chance that a buyer is willing to pay more for an item than you would have priced. Don't leave money on the folding table!
2. Timing
Every good garage sale shopper knows that the earlier you arrive at good sale, the better your finds. So make sure you open yours early to get the most amount of people to come by as you can. And think about putting your garage sale on Friday…there's no rule against it!
3. Advertise
Everyone knows about putting signs on street corners, which can actually be pretty effective, but don't forget to think broader as well – try putting notice about your sale on a website made just for garage sales!
