3 Ways Your Health is Written All Over Your Face
Health The ListMost of us blame our facial lines on stress, but it turns out the culprit may be what you eat. Lindsey Granger and Dr. Natasha Bhuyan, MD have three ways your health is written all over your face.
1. Pale & Cracked Lips
If you have pale lips, it's often because you don't have enough iron in your diet and if you have cracked or dry lips it means you don't have enough vitamin B or zinc in your diet. You can get ion in seafood, spinach, legumes and even dried fruit. You can get vitamin B and zinc in oysters, eggs and salmon.
2. Acne
This can sometimes indicate a lack of omega 3's, a lack of vitamin D or a lack of vitamin E. You can get omega 3's in tuna, salmon and anchovies. Vitamin A is found in avocados, carrots and sweet potatoes.
3. Puffy Eyes
Whenever someone has puffy eyes they should check their thyroid labs and should take more iodine. Most people get iodine from table salt, but do not load up on salt and become really bloated. Try a sea vegetable like kelp or any sort of salt water fish.
