Before Airbnb was a thing there was just bed-and-breakfasts… and there are still some amazing spots out there you should visit. Kristina Guerrero has the top three across America where you’ll want to rest your head and feed your face.

1.  The Bed & Breakfast Inn in La Jolla, California

The West Coast might be the best coast with this historic bed-and-breakfast originally built in 1913. It's a block away from one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world where you can take to the sea for a kayak tour of La Jolla Cove. There's no better way to enjoy the coastline and you never know when you'll encounter a friendly seal or dolphin. You also may want to do a little walking since they serve guests a multicourse breakfast which on the weekend includes a breakfast dessert. Prices start at $230 a night.

2.  Canyon Villa Bed & Breakfast Inn in Sedona, Arizona

Sedona is known for being one of the most beautiful places in America. This fun destination offers gourmet breakfast and there's not a bad seat in the house. Each room has a view of the famous Red Rocks! Enjoy the breathe-taking scenery for around $260 a night.

3.  Pine Lakes Lodge in Salesville, Ohio

At this sweet B&B, breakfast is served in an 11 thousand square foot log cabin. This one's a bit more luxurious than your traditional bed-and-breakfast with spa amenities and a private Jacuzzi in each room. They start at around $200 a night.

4.  Huron House Bed and Breakfast in Oscoda, Michigan

Sand is your souvenir from a summer day well spent along Michigan’s 300 mile stretch of Golden Shore. This is a couples-only establishment that serves up breakfast treats like baked French toast in your room and has been voted one of the most romantic B&B's in the U.S. You can book a room as low at $209 a night
