Cereal Milk: 3 Delicious Recipes You Can Make with Cereal Milk

Some might say the best part of a bowl of cereal is the leftover milk. Chef Lauren Smith from Hash Kitchen agrees, so she’s created three delicious cereal milk recipes and sweetening the deal. 

1. Cereal Milk Lattes 

Turns out, cereal milk is what’s in when it comes to the world of cooking. Here’s the first treat on our list of cereal milk recipes: a Fruity Pebbles latte! Here’s your chance and the recipe, so you can easily make it at home.


  • 8 ounces cereal milk
  • 1-2 espresso shots
  • 1 ounce simple or vanilla syrup
  • “Fruity Pebbles” dust for garnish

2. Cereal Milk Ice Cream

Next, if you have a nifty ice cream attachment for your stand mixer, get ready for cereal milk ice cream. That’s right. Save room for dessert, because you’ll definitely want taste what we consider one of our favorite cereal milk recipes. 


  • 2 1/2 cups cereal milk
  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 


Add milk, heavy cream, sugar and salt in a pot. Allow milk texture to slowly come up in temperature at low-medium heat. In a separate bowl, crack eggs and temper with about 1/2 cup of hot milk texture. Once eggs are tempered, add to milk mixture. Cook for a few more minutes until the mixture thickens. Place in the fridge and chill for up to four hours. Use ice cream maker as directed.

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups cereal milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/4 cup Fruity Pebbles
