We love our crockpots because on a winter evening, nothing’s more satisfying than a hearty, slow-cooked meal…Well, except for maybe a tasty, slow-cooked cocktail! We’re making three cool crocktails that are sure to warm up your winter.

1. Spiked Cider CocktaiL

Nothing warms you up on a cold winter’s day like a hot cup of cider — especially when there’s booze in it!

6 cups apple cider

¼ cup sugar

2 stick cinnamon

8 whole cloves

½ teaspoon anise seeds

1 large naval orange, sliced

1 medium lemon, sliced

1 cup bourbon

Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 3 1/2 to 4 hours or on high-heat setting for 2 hours.

 2. Baileys Irish Cream Dream

Next, we’re taking your morning coffee to an after party in a cup .

6 c. Brewed Espresso (or extra strong coffee)

1 c. Baileys or other Irish Cream Liquor

1/2 c. Heavy Whipping Cream

1 T. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

Whipped cream or sprinkles, for garnish

Combine coffee and Baileys in a slow cooker.

Whisk in whipping cream and cocoa powder.

Cover and cook on high for 90 minutes, stirring once halfway through.

To serve: Pour in the Irish Cream Coffee and top with whipped cream. Garnish with chocolate sprinkles or a very light dusting of cocoa powder, if desired. Can be served hot or over ice.

3. Warm Winter Sangria

Our last crocktail is a warm winter twist on the classic summer sangria!

1 bottle white wine

1 bottle red wine

1 cup orange juice

1 cup brandy

4 cups mixed frozen fruit

½ cup simple syrup

2 orange, sliced

2 cinnamon sticks

Combine ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then keep warm on low until ready to serve. Ladle into glasses.

Now you’ve got three ways to sip crocktails all winter long!
