Society is made up of millions of individuals, and there’s one thing we all have in common: we all have the same building blocks inside. From eye color to heritage, DNA is the answer to big questions, such as who am I? DNA tests promise to answer a lot of questions about who you are and where you come from. But which service is best? Data Doctors Founder Ken Colburn knows firsthand, and we’re checking out three of the big ones.

1. 23andMe

Out of all DNA tests, 23andMe is probably the most scientific of the ones that are available. Primarily because they’re really going to focus on your health markers, like what hereditary diseases you might pass along to your children. 23andMe is sold in stores and online and tests start at $99.

2. AncestryDNA

If you’re looking for a bigger picture when it comes to your extended household, AncestryDNA is just for you. Consider this DNA test if you’re not necessarily interested or concerned about the medical side of the test. AncestryDNA introduces you to people that share your genetic code, and goes into the specifics of your ethnicity, such as regions and counties you’re connected to. This test will run you about $90.

3. DNA Passport

Finally, DNA Passport helps you live your best life based on your genes. They claim to offer a non-medical experience, focusing on a person’s lifestyle, wellness, fitness and food. In other words, they’ll figure out what sorts of workouts you should do, what diet they recommend and perhaps what colors of clothing to wear. You can also buy custom goods in the colors of your genetic sequence. DNA Passport online will cost you around $50.

Whether you’re looking for details on your ethnicity, your family tree, or what diet to try based on genetics, DNA testing is here to lend you a hand in the easiest way possible.

Would YOU give any of these a try? If so, which one? Sound off on those comments down below!
