4 Fun Game of Thrones Watch Party Ideas – Easy Decorations, Supplies & Food!Top of the List
Winter is coming and the end is near – for the epic Game of Thrones series, anyway. But we’re sending off Game of Thrones season 8 with a Westeros-style viewing party, and you won’t need the Lannister’s budget to pull it off. We met with planner Kyla Federowicz at the Ashley Castle in Chandler, Arizona who showed us how to throw the perfect Game of Thrones watch party – complete with party supplies, decoration, and more!
1. Game of Thrones Watch Party Decorations
Wanna know to turn your pad into a Westoro castle? We’ve got you covered! “[Try] some felt banners that you can hang on your table or wall to give it a pop of color – as well as LED lights for a little bit of ambiance,” says Kyla. “And if you’re a fan of Danyrus Targaryun, dragon eggs are going to light your fire.” This combo of items came out to about fifty dollars online.
2. Games of Thrones Season 8 Food & Drink Ideas
No Game of Thrones watch party is complete without food and drink – so feeding your hungry guests is next on our list. “With just a few ingredients, we’re going to make White Walker punch,” instructs Kyla. “And unlike the Night King, it isn’t scary to make.” Just add two parts blueberry pomegranate juice to three parts 7Up, then drop in some dry ice for effect. Then we have Hot Pie pot pies – which are as simple as the beloved character. “They’re made of biscuit dough, a little bit of chicken, some frozen veggies and some canned soup,” says Kyla. The total prep time for these is less than 30 minutes and less than thirty-five bucks for both.
3. Game of Thrones Viewing Party Selfie Station
Another way to drum up the fun at your Game of Thrones watch party? Set up a selfie station! “We found some props from Amazon, and some plastic weapons from the dollar store,” shares Kyla. The total cost? Less than fifteen bucks! You can be everything from a dire wolf to Danyrus. You’ll be looking fierce and fabulous!
4. Jon Snow Cape
So you’ve got food, décor and a selfie station. The only thing your Game of Thrones watch party is missing is a no-sew John Snow cape – which takes less than 10 minutes to make. Watch the video below to learn how!
Now you’ve got everything you need to take your Gomes of Thrones watch party back to 299 A.D.
