Get in on the slime craze with this Soda Pop Slime recipe!DIY The List
Are the kids out of summer camp and running up the walls? Or are they back in school and looking to savor some summer fun? Heck, even if you're just an adult that loves to make cool stuff – everyone can enjoy this Soda Pop Slime recipe! And just about anyone can make it. Teresa Strasser shows you how to add some slime to your summer, with a couple of special guests.
The coolest thing about this slime – it's taste safe! No borax. No glue. No chemicals. No nothin'. In 30 minutes, this recipe will make you a cup of Soda Pop Slime that you can pull, squish, and, yes, even lick – just don't make a meal out of it – there's not enough protein.
A microwave safe mixing bowl (the deeper, the better)
Crush singles to-go drink mix (or 1 Tbsp. of another sugar-free/artificially sweetened drink mix)
1 Tbsp. Metemucil
1 cup warm water
Start by mixing the Metemucil and water, making sure to stir well. Add in the drink mix, then stir again.
Microwave the mixture for 2 minutes – it should be bubbling. After taking it out of the microwave, stir quickly. Then microwave for another minute. Stir again. Then microwave for another 2 minutes.
Let the mix cool at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before handling.
And when you're done playing, store the slime in a ziplock bag or air tight container at room temperature!
