Get Rich: 3 practical tips to see huge successLifestyle The List
You see those self-help books everywhere in the financial section. Hundreds of titles that promise to unlock the secret financial security. While all these books are unique, most of them also have certain basic information that's the same. We're going to look at the overlap between two best-selling authors' advice: The classic, "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki and the brand-new "You Are a Badass at Making Money" by Jen Sincero. Jimmy Rhoades is talking with both of them to get some practical tips on how we can all get rich.
1. Invest in Yourself
Think about the word invest. It means you’re invested in yourself, but you can't just invest in good feelings with pats on the back. You've got to pony up real dough for concrete resources. Pay to get that website up, a mentor and don't be cheap with yourself. Whatever it costs, if you want to succeed, invest the money.
2. Train Your Brain
You still have to train your brain to think like an entrepreneur. That means consciously intervening on the loaded topic of money. Every time you say your version of "I can't afford it," you're shutting down an assessment of the potential return on expenditure, which should be the focus of every transaction. You can't focus on returns in the future until you change your attitude toward money now. That kind of switch will open you up to the opportunities that you can't see 'cause you're so busy focusing on all the bad stuff.
3. Less on Work & More on Risk
We're trained that if you work hard you'll make a lot of money. All the rich people in the world would be exhausted. So, yeah, it does sometimes involve hard work, but what is more important is that you take risks. When you're scared, you're probably doing something right. Use your fear as a compass. That's how you know you're heading in the right direction, so take big, scary risks as often as you can if you really want to get rich.
