Give your Starbucks trip a buzz with these 3 recipesFood The List
Sure, Starbucks drinks give you a boost of energy, but what if they could give you a boost of booze too? If you want a little extra "buzz" in your favorite cup of joe, look no further: Jared Cotter's got 3 reasons to spike your favorite Starbucks drink – without having to pay extra.
1. Reason #1: Piña Coladas go Great with Brunch
Starbucks just released this delicious Teavana flavor – made without alcohol though – but we're changing that:
1 oz. 3 Amigos Ramona's Reserve Liqueur
.5 oz. Bro-Vo Orange Curacao
3/4 oz. Railene Coconut Rum
2.5 oz. Starbucks mixer
Put some ice into a shaker, then add the tequila, curacao, and the coconut rum.
Pour in your Starbucks' Piña Colada mix; shake, then pour into a glass. There's the Colada you know…
2. Reason #2: Acai is Good for You (and good with booze)
Give your favorite refresher a different kind of jolt by adding smokey whiskey:
1 oz. Del Bac Dorado Mesquite Smoked Whiskey
3 oz. Starbucks mixer
In a cocktail shaker, add some ice. Then add 1 oz. of Mesquite smoked whiskey – this adds an extra layer of flavor to your fruity beverage.
Next, add your preferred amount of Rhubarb bitters. Then add in your Starbucks refresher. Shake the contents, then pour over ice. A perfect fruity drink for a hot day.
3. Reason #3: Berries are an Important Part of Daily Nutrition
Turn your Hibiscus Refresher into a refresher-ita with some tequila and fruit:
1 oz. Amigos Blanco Tequila
1 oz. Bro-Vo Orange Curacao
1/2 small orange
2 oz. Starbucks mixer
In a shaker, over ice, add your tequila then 1 oz. of orange curacao. Next, squeeze 1/2 a lime into the shaker. Then squeeze 1/2 a small orange into the shaker as well. Add the Starbucks Hibiscus Refresher into the shaker, give the shaker a good mix, then pour over ice. Berry good, if we say so ourselves.
