Glitter Everything Is Trending: 3 Fun Things to Make Sparkly & GlitteryDIY The List
If you've got a lust for luster, or need your fix of glitz – prepare to get starry-eyed over the trend that's lighting up everything from wallpaper to bike tires. Read on for three ways to sprinkle, spray, and even bake your own edible glitter!
1. Homemade Edible Glitter
If you ever saw something shiny and thought man, I wish I could eat that – well, now you can! We made sugar glitter, and it's super easy with just a couple of ingredients. We recommend using raw sugar, because the granules are much bigger, so the sparkle will also be. Just add sugar to the bottom of a small baking pan, add food coloring, stir, and pop it in the oven for about ten minutes at 350F. Once it’s ready, all there’s left to do is dip whatever foods you want to decorate!
2. Glitter Wallpaper
Next, light up your life and your walls with glitter wallpaper. If you have an accent wall that you would like to cover, don't use paint – use glitter paper! It's super easy to apply because it's just sticky adhesive on the back. And it's super easy to remove; when you find that next trend you want to try, you just rip it right off! But for now we still love glitter, duh.
3. Tire Glitter
Finally, pimp your ride with tire glitter and leave everyone in your fairy dust. You can pick up tire glitter anywhere online! There's also no commitment because it's washable, and it's super easy to apply. Just sponge on the sparkles, let ‘em dry, and ride with radiance!
