It’s something most of us take for granted – digesting our food. However, if you're dealing with indigestion, insatiable cravings or even depression, how you eat may be just as important as what you eat. Donna Ruko and David Jack have three important steps to take with each meal.
1. Really Chew Your Food
You should not be able to detect what type of food you're eating. That's when you know you've chewed enough.
2. Don’t Drink While You Eat
The liquid goes down ahead of the food and that makes your meal take longer to break down. And you’re diluting those digestive enzymes in our stomachs, as well.
3. Eat Your Greens
Add a salad with each meal so you’re getting all the nutrients you need in your body.
Remember, it’s just as important how you eat your food, as the food you choose to eat.
