1. Jurassic Park
One of the most iconic scenes from the original 1993 film is when we see two glasses of water shaking, a suspenseful scene that told the viewers something huge was going to happen. Those infamous cups are now iconic, but making it happen was not easy. To make it happen, a guitar string was fed through the car where the glasses were, down to the ground, where a man’s job was to pluck the guitar string to make the glasses shake.
2. The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Next, the 1997 sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, got a sign-off from scientists, an approval of how accurate the movie dinosaurs were to the real thing. According to experts, the artists brought paleontology to life.
3. Jurassic Park III
Next, in 2001’s Jurassic Park III, the production designer created a real jungle on a soundstage. They transformed an empty set using real plants and dirt. Spielberg says there’s several sequences in Jurassic Park III where they couldn’t tell the difference if they were in the real Hawaiian jungle or on stage.
4. Jurassic World
One scene in 2015’s Jurassic World was actually a franchise first. The character Zara is the first on-screen female death in the entire series, and she did all of her stunts.
5. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Finally, in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the actors worked with fake raptors. People play the part of raptors to give the film’s actors something “real” to interact with. The actors wore raptor helmets to get into the mindset of how a raptor moves.
