Marvel Heroes Show Us 3 Ways You Can Train to be a SuperheroEntertainment The List
Most of us won't be able to live out our dreams of being superheroes on the big screen; but that doesn't mean you have to hang up your hero dreams like an old cape. The incredible actors that work on the Marvel Universe Live! Age of Heroes show get to be superheroes every day; so Kristina Guerrero donned her super gear to find 3 ways humans like us can be heroes too.
Step 1: Get into Character
Part of the reason superheros have "mild-mannered" alter egos is protect the people they love – but it's also because you can't just go from being yourself, straight to kicking butt. You've got to have the right mindset and body language that you know will strike fear in the hearts of your enemies.
Once you've done that, amp up your superhero persona with the right costume and makeup.
Step 2: Find Your Flow
Flow arts are used to describe lots of movement based skills like juggling, dancing, and fire-spinning. Lots of superheroes have the ability to control fire or move things with their minds, but you don't have to be a hero to learn these awesome skills.
The Flow Arts Institute's a great place to start looking into flow classes near you, but you'll also find more classes in your area with just a Google search. With enough practice, practice, you'll be stopping criminals in no time – and yes, superheroes totally have to practice.
Step 3: Work on Your Moves
Even if you don't think your superhero persona would fight with other worldly abilities and skills, it still needs to know how to kick some butt and that's where fighting choreography comes in. Film stars that get to portray our favorite superheroes have stunt choreography and practice stage combat regularly.
But you don't need to sign a movie deal to learn how to fight like hero. Here's one site you can visit to find stage combat classes near you. Or, learn how to do the real thing and take a martial arts or boxing course!
