Looking for the best true crime shows on Netflix? Then buckle up! Court TV will be back in session next month with Vinnie Politan, the original face of Court TV, as lead anchor. So to hold you over until then, Vinnie’s telling us about three of the best Netflix true crime shows you can binge watch right now.

1. Making a Murderer

Let’s kick off our list of best true crime shows on Netflix with Making a Murderer – a documentary which Vinnie dubs the “godfather” of Netflix true crime. “You have to watch this one before you watch any other one because this is the one that started the whole craze,” insists Vinnie. Why are people so hooked? “This one is so compelling because it was filmed over the course of a decade, so you follow this drama year after year,” he adds. “Then when you finish watching it, there’s a season two. The saga continues!” Translation: add this to your watch list ASAP!

2. Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes

And now to a Netflix true crime story that is over – Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes at number two. “Now if you’re a true crime addict, [and] you want to get into the mind of a criminal, The Ted Bundy Tapes take us there,” shares Vinnie. So why does this series make our lest of best true crime shows on Netflix? “You really get a perspective that you rarely get, which is what is going on in the mind of a serial killer,” informs Vinnie. “What are they thinking about? What do they think of themselves? This is all coming from one of the most notorious serial killers in the history of the United States: Ted Bundy.” Sounds bone-chillingly goo to us!

3. The Staircase

And finally, Vinnie’s saving his favorite series for last. “My personal favorite is the staircase. Why? Because I was there for the trial, I was at that staircase, I saw the evidence, I lived the case,” Vinnie explains. “You’re gonna be wondering, did he do it or did some owl do it? You see the trial, you see the verdict, then you see what happens after.” Bring on the goosebumps!

We believe Vinnie when he says these are the best true crime shows on Netflix!
