There are a slew of high-tech products that have a new take on old school sporting gear from Wilson’s connected footballs, baseballs you can track on your phone, and even GPS golf balls. Jared Cotter has the top three of 2017 that will have you playing like a pro.

1.  Strike Smart Baseball

This is a connected baseball that tracks speed, spin and compares your pitches. It connects to an app and gives pitchers data that could help them hone their skills. They plan to ship in July and they'll eventually retail for around $130.

2.  Wilson X Connected Football

This smart pigskin turns an open field into a gridiron. It also tracks stats like distance thrown, spiral efficiency and spin rate — acting as a training tool for aspiring quarter backs. Pick one up now for around $150.

3.  Shot Genius

This smart golf ball is embedded with GPS giving you info like trajectory, distance and how many yards you have left to the hole. It even acts like a caddy, giving you suggestions on club selection based on your position. There’s no word yet on if this concept will become a reality, but if it does, Shot Genius could start at $40 for a three pack of balls.
