Robo Bartender: 3 Drinking Gadgets For Cocktail LoversTechList The List
Most of us like to relax and unwind with a cocktail or beer and making that even easier are robotic bartenders. These are devices that either mix your favorite cocktail or brew your favorite beer. Kristina Guerrero is taking a look at some high-tech alcohol automation.
This is basically a Keurig for cocktails. You load it up with four of the most common spirits — gin, vodka, rum and tequila, and then a K-cup looking thing loaded with nonalcoholic liquid ingredients. The coolest part has to be the strength selection button which allows you to make a mocktail with no alcohol, or hit it a few times to kick it up a notch. Pick one up for around $300.
This is an automated home brewery that fits on a kitchen counter. Just plug it in, connect it to a water line, and load up a brewing bag filled with malts on one side, and then cages filled with hops down the middle. Select the type of beer you want to make and Brewie will take it from there. Pick one up for around $1,900.
This is another Keurig-like device that makes cocktails in seconds. An app tells you what ingredients you'll need to load in the Somabars six containers for that particular drink. Select the beverage on the app and boom, a magical cocktail. You can pre-order one for around $430.
