Travel Guide: Top 4 unique hotels across AmericaLifestyle The List
Summer is right around the corner and now is the time to plan your getaway. Jared Cotter has three unique hotels across America you won’t want to leave.
1. Jules' Undersea Lodge in Key Largo, Florida
This hotel is 25 feet under the sea and was formerly a marine lab under the water. You actually have to scuba dive just to get to this camper and scuba divers deliver your meals. You can enjoy this Poseidon adventure and all of the marine life surrounding it for $500 a night.
2. Kokopelli Cave Bed and Breakfast in Farmington, New Mexico
You hike to this bed-and-breakfast that's been blasted out of the ground. It feels like you're roughing it because you're in a cave, but it also feels like you're staying in luxury because of the amenities. You can have a piece of stone-age history starting at $310 a night.
3. The Liberty Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts
It’s an ironic name because if you look closely, you can tell that The Liberty was originally a jail. It's truly a unique building that has been transformed into a luxury hotel. From the historic architecture to the lush interior, it’s in a class of its own. At around $600 a night you might just want to stop by for a drink at their watering hole called, CLINK. It's a way for the community to come in and experience the property.
4. The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado
This was the backdrop to Stanley Kubrick’s horror masterpiece The Shining. You can reserve the supposedly haunted room #217 where Stephen King spent the night and got his inspiration for his novel. You can also see all the iconic locations – even the infamous maze. It’s nestled in the gorgeous mountains and you can treat your family with summer packages starting at $350 and up.
