Reality dating shows let us watch people fall in love in unconventional, yet entertaining ways. “Networks and streaming platforms are coming out with really cool new twists on the format that we’re used to, so really keeping us on our toes, which is fun,” says Abby Gardner, host of ‘We Have Notes’ a Studio Speak Podcast original. Here are the shows she says we need to binge now.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On

One partner is ready to get married, the other is hesitant – and so they have been issued an ultimatum. The show allows each partner to explore a relationship with someone else to see if they want to split forever or marry the person they arrived with. Binge this scandalous show on Netflix.

The Courtship

If Bridgerton is your cup of tea, then The Courtship will be the perfect biscuit to accompany it. Etiquette and chivalry take the forefront of this unique dating show, but make no mistake – these prim and proper contestants don’t hold back on the drama.

90 Day Fiancé

You can find 90 Day Fiancé on Hulu in its 9th season. “Someone from outside the United States come on what is a special 90-day visa for fiancés to the United States and basically what amounts to an arranged marriages at some times,” says Gardner.  Fiancés have 90 days to meet and become familiar with each other before deciding to get married or return to their home countries.
