When it comes to posting the perfect pic on social media, nostalgic photos are in! Brett Silva, photographer and owner of Desert Peak Productions, is showing us three vintage photo apps to help you create classic content and have you trending in no time!

1. Huji

First on our list of best vintage photo apps is Huji, which makes your photos look like they were taken by a disposable camera. So how does it work? “When you take a picture with it, it looks just like a picture taken way back in the late 90s,” says Brett. “It washes out all the colors and pops the contrast up to make it look really old school!” Lot of celebs love Huji, including Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner. The free app also dates each photo with the current day and month, but the year is always 1998. Talk about being old school cool!

2. Vintage Scene

Let’s continue our list of best vintage photo apps with Vintage Scene. “This is actually a camera from the turn of the century,” says Brett. “Not this past century — like 1900!” Vintage Scene costs $1.99 and takes antique to a whole new level! “They do a lot with sepia tone, it ups the grain in the photo, and then it gives it that nice vignette — the dark edge look to it,” adds Brett. “So if you want to match your photos to your great, great, great, great grandfather’s who had photos like this, then this app is awesome!” Download it here.

3. Rad VHS

Finally, if you wanna get a vintage video vibe, Rad VHS is one of those vintage photo apps you’ll want to download ASAP! “It’s like when your parents brought that video camera to everything, ” shares Brett. “Everyone’s birthday party — it was giant! This huge thing over the shoulder. Now you have it in the size of your pocket.” So if you want the look but not all the massive hardware, this free app will recreate the experience for you.
